- 5:00-5:10pm: Opening
- 5:10-5:40: Traditional dances
- 5:45-6:00: Movie: Saudi Arabia the past and the future
- 6:10-7:10: Lecture: Through the Looking Glass by John Paul Jones
(How Western impressions of Saudi Arabia are formed via books and the news media, and what can be done to form a more realistic picture)
- 7:10-8:00: Traditional dances, traditional food, Henna, names in Arabic, discussions, other activities….
- 8:00-8:50: Movie: Tash ma Tash by John Paul Jones
(A showing of an episode of the famous Saudi TV social satire which concerned the impact of 9-11 on Saudi nationals living in the United States. The speaker and his family were feature actors in the production, which is shown in Arabic only, but with English commentary.)
